My first impression of this album included PJ Harvey and The xx. The first review I read had them both. So much for working it out.
It's no riddle, though. Pale Honey make simple indie that—at its best—is filled with emotion and truly makes the most of their stripped-down setup. You've heard it before, but they do punch above their weight at times.
Maybe a full album is too much to ask. Take Devotion, parts I and II, and Golden. Real Thing, too? They'll make a nice EP.
