A few years ago I decided to keep this site in English. To reach a wider audience, apparently. Of course, the only difference was talking to myself in English instead of Norwegian. Since it's not my native language, the result is probably worse in every respect.
Kenneth Engebretsen shares no such ambition. Having grown up in Groruddalen in East Oslo, he's more than keen to stay there and tell the tale. A tale that is in many ways predictable—think guns, thugs and drugs, but sprinkled with mature advice—and utterly irresistible.
Kenneth's delivery is sincere to the point of sounding unprepared, perfectly matching the ALL CAPS packaging. Initially, it's tempting to single out producer Martin Bjørnersen as the real star of the show. And yes, he does add a certain sparkle. But it wouldn't make sense as separate pieces, without Kenneth shouting out his hard earned wisdom.
